The following three methods can be used to determine whether a female pigeon is about to lay eggs:

1. Observe the female pigeon’s anus. When the female pigeon’s anus is moist and has some mucus, it means she is about to lay eggs.

2. Observe the expression of the female pigeon. The eyes of the female pigeon that are about to lay eggs will be particularly bright and alert, looking like a thief.

3. Observe the behavior of the female pigeon. When the female pigeon’s back is arched and the butt feathers spread out, it means that she is about to lay eggs.

Pigeons will lay eggs 9-13 days after pairing. After mating, the male pigeon will lay down on the nest. When the female pigeon is about to lay eggs, the female pigeon will start laying on the nest. Usually the pigeon will only lay 2 eggs for the first time. The incubation time of the eggs is 17-18 days.
