1. Bring a mat (blanket)

Pets coming to see a doctor are sometimes required to have infusions, but owners usually don’t think of bringing a mat or anything like that. You must know that the infusion tables are made of metal, which are cold in summer, and the infusion room is not disinfected at all when it is busy. It is not hygienic to just put it on directly. Therefore, whenever you take an animal to see a doctor, you must bring a mat or blanket, preferably a small quilt. I forgot to mention that I also recommend bringing adult diaper pads. They come in two sizes: 60*60CM and 40*60CM, which are perfect for laying on the clinic table and infusion table.

2. Look for the nurse who is giving the injection

Some people may think that I am making a fuss out of a molehill. I have seen interns inject cats and dogs under the skin until the blood bleeds; and they also perform sealant injections. Wow, I am not trying to scare you. That’s really shocking! Even if the injection is like this, getting an infusion needle would really reflect the skill of a doctor. Some doctors are very skilled. I have never seen them perform pricking twice, but it was always successful the first time (one time I changed a doctor and it didn't work after 4 times of pricking. If the skilled doctor is not available, we will wait until they come.

3. Try not to give away needles!

There are many people in the infusion room, and it is impossible for the doctor to keep an eye on you, so we can only do our best to prevent unnecessary needles, because if needles are given, although they will be absorbed in a few hours, But it is very painful. If you don’t believe me, try infusing it yourself. If the fluid runs into the muscles and swells up a lot, will it not hurt?

4. The speed of infusion would rather be slower

Some The owner saw that the infusion was too slow, so he adjusted it very fast. If the infusion was too fast, a person would die on the spot, let alone a small animal! This is especially special for animals that have just undergone surgery. Slow, fast can be fatal! Some drugs have relatively large molecules (like albumin), and only a few drops can be dripped per minute. If the drip is too fast, the cat’s heart cannot bear it at all. As long as you see the animal panting, then It must have been too fast. Infusion for 4 or 5 hours is nothing, so be mentally prepared.

5. Don’t go in groups

I saw on some websites that when weekends come, we make appointments to take care of each other. They go to the hospital together for sterilization or disease treatment, and even bring their pets to other people’s homes in a small hospital to see how they react when they meet. This is very, very dangerous! Hospitals are full of viruses and germs. In concentrated places, most pets go to the hospital to see a doctor. It is easy for cross-infection due to short-term contact. Such close contact is enough to cause cross-infection. This is definitely not what everyone wants.
