Causes of swollen toes

3. There may be mites. If your dog’s toes are itchy, he may have parasites.

4. In "humid" seasons such as the rainy season, when the dog's toes have a lot of hair and are not dried or blown dry, it is also easy to cause it.

5. Fungi, mites, or other mixed infections.

6. The dog is kept in an iron cage for a long time, or when the dog goes to the iron dog toilet, there is no mat on the grille, and the iron grille gets stuck between the toes or the nails are scratched.

Symptoms of interdigital inflammation

How to treat swollen toes

First, carefully shave the foot hair to ensure the application of medicine and treatment. But several types of reasons need to be distinguished.

1. If it is caused by injury or moisture, anti-inflammatory treatment is required:

1.1 If it is only red and swollen, soak it with povidone-iodine, or dilute Jieryin or Fuyanjie with water and soak your feet. After drying, put on an Elizabeth anti-licking ring. It usually takes 3-5 times to heal.

1.2 If symptoms of suppuration or bleeding occur, anti-inflammation is needed.

Or disinfect the wound first, and then apply Baiduobang directly. After using anti-inflammatory drugs, in order to prevent the dog from licking, wrap it with gauze and then wear an Elizabethan ring.

2. If interdigital inflammation is caused by mites or fungi, you need to use anti-inflammatory drugs that kill acaritis.

3. Once my dog’s toes became red, swollen and inflamed, and I remembered that I had suffered from oral ulcer pain. A doctor friend asked me to rinse my mouth with alum soaked in water, and the result quickly improved. Later, I learned from a doctor that alum has the effects of eliminating phlegm, drying dampness, stopping diarrhea, stopping bleeding, detoxifying, and killing insects.
