The puppy scratches a red mark and needs to be disinfected immediately

Any skin scratched by the mark may be exposed, because many small wounds are invisible to the naked eye, and bacteria are likely to invade through these small wounds Humans are infected with tetanus; if the dog is carrying rabies virus, it may also be infected with rabies. Therefore, after being caught, you should immediately rinse with soapy water for about 15 minutes, and then apply alcohol and iodophor alternately for disinfection 2-3 times. Do not apply a band-aid, and the wound should be fully exposed.

1. The puppy has just been brought home, it is not a puppy raised by oneself, or the dog’s rabies vaccination status and health are not sure Condition.
2. Have cold symptoms, or have been in frequent contact with other animals recently.
3. The dog has abnormal symptoms such as shaking when walking, being listless, drooling, or showing obvious aggression.
4. The offending dog died within 10 days after scratching the person.
Note: The third and fourth symptoms are obvious signs of rabies attack, and rabies vaccines should be injected on time. For the first two points, you can get an injection first, and then enter the ten-day observation period. If the dog after the injury is as active as usual without any abnormalities, you don’t need to inject any more vaccines.

What is the ten-day observation method?

If the dog does not die within ten days after biting a human and is active as usual, it means that the dog does not carry transmissible rabies virus. For healthy dogs, there is no need to worry. If you have already received one dose of vaccine, you do not need to continue to receive the remaining vaccines, because not all dogs carry contagious rabies virus.
If a dog is carrying rabies virus, it is only contagious during the attack or three days before the attack, and will basically die within 6 days of the attack.
