The ears are the most obvious feature of the Papillon Dog. There are two types of ear shapes: erect ears or lop ears. Upright butterfly ears are popular in China. Butterfly dogs have white coats with many hairs on their bodies. On the head, the white coat must cross from the middle of the eyes to the muzzle. The white coat in the middle of the forehead cannot be too narrow, broken, or mottled. The location, shape and size of the spots are not important. The color of the eye circles and nose and lips must have enough melanin.
