Usually when a Teddy dog is three months old after birth, it will enter the moulting period. At this stage, the Teddy dog will lose its fetal hair and grow new hair. The duration of hair shedding is not fixed. Some dogs can complete it in one or two months, and some dogs can take as long as several months. The length of this time is determined based on the Teddy dog's own condition. But in general, the general time for lanugo hair replacement is from 3 months to 6-8 months after birth.
Adult healthy Teddy dogs will undergo physiological hair moulting in response to climate changes in spring and autumn every year, that is, from March to May and from September to November. In the spring, the thick hair will be shed and sparse summer hair will grow out; in the autumn, the summer hair will be shed and thick winter hair will grow out. The moulting period is usually relatively short during this season and can be completed in about one or two months.
If you want your Teddy dog to end its embarrassing shedding period as soon as possible, it is best for the owner to comb the dog's hair twice a day and provide the dog with adequate nutrition. In addition, you must also maintain good environmental hygiene at home, because during the period of molting of Teddy dogs, the body's immunity is relatively weak and it is easy to be invaded by parasites, so the owner must do a good job of sterilization and disinfection during this period.
