For example, towels, cotton swabs, alcohol cotton balls, ear drops, ear cleaning oil, etc. After being prepared, you should first soothe Pomeranian's emotions so that he can stay quiet while cleaning the ear canal and don't be afraid to run away or resist.
First use small scissors to trim individual ear hairs that block the ears. Some ear hairs are on the inside, and trimming them with scissors can easily injure the dog, so they need to be pulled out, which is more thorough than trimming. You can sprinkle a little ear powder into the dog's ears in advance, rub the ear for a while, and then use tweezers to pull it out. After pulling out, the remaining powder in the ear needs to be removed.
You can use cotton swabs with ear drops to wipe out areas visible to the naked eye. Places that are out of reach, especially when dogs suffer from ear mites. Ear mites live deep in the external auditory canal. It is not recommended to take them out directly. You can use Ear canal cleaners like ear drops clean the ear canal and remove the lesions by dissolving secretions.
You can hold the dog in your arms, lift the tip of the ear with one hand, and inject ear drops into the dog's ear canal with the other hand. 2-3 drops are enough. Massage the base of the ear to hear the sound of the liquid. The sound is better. After a while, use a cotton swab to wipe away the dissolved dirt inside again. Finally, use a clean towel or rag to dry the dog's outer ears and the opening of the ear canal.
