What to do if Bichon Frize's ears stink

1. Dog hair cannot be wet when knotted
Some people take it for granted that they bathe their dogs, thinking that the dog’s hair will naturally unravel after the bath. Note that this is not human hair, but poodle hair. Poodles have a lot of fine hair. Once it gets wet and blown open, it will become more brittle, making it even more difficult to untie. If your dog's coat is already tangled, be sure not to bathe it.
2. Use a needle comb to slowly untie it
If the Teddy dog's hair is only not seriously tangled, it is easy to deal with. Use a comb (note that it is a comb specially designed for dogs) to slowly clear it. Why do you have to use one made specifically for dogs? The density of dog hair is different from human hair after all, so it may not be possible to untangle it with an ordinary comb. Note: Slow work makes careful work possible.
3. The order from hair tip to hair root
If the teddy dog's hair is seriously entangled, don't panic at this time, be sure to calm down and take care of it slowly. Never pull the dog's hair. If you pull it randomly, you will only pull out a few hairs. The remaining hair will become more and more messy, and the dog will also hate you. You can only use a comb to remove the hair from the tip first, and then comb it. Go to the root of the hair and go deep into it in order, little by little. Do not comb or pull hard.
4. Cut off the knotted area
If the dog’s hair has become knotted, it depends on the area. If the area is small, just cut it off horizontally. The speed at which Teddy dogs grow hair is obvious to all. As long as it is not shaved off, it can grow back in a week or two.
5. Groom the dog’s hair
If the knotting is serious and the area is large, it will be impossible to clean up. Then there is no choice but to shave the dog's bald head and then take good care of the new hair.
Tips: Unhairing a dog should be done multiple times at a time, and it is not advisable to work for a long time.
