When do golden retrievers become sensible?

Under normal circumstances, Pomeranian puppies will start to erect their ears around forty days, and usually one side erects first, and then the other side erects. The interval may range from one day to one or two months. The thickness of the dog's ears, calcium deficiency, ear injury or inflammation, etc., these factors will affect the process of the dog's ears erecting.
During the period when the dog’s ears are erect, the dog’s demand for calcium is very high. If the owner feeds dog food alone for a long time and cannot meet the dog’s demand for calcium, calcium deficiency will occur. In this regard, it is recommended that owners can add some foods with high calcium content to the daily dog food and mix them together to feed Pomeranian.
In life, almost all foods contain calcium, but the calcium content varies greatly, and not all calcium-containing foods can be given to dogs. When it comes to foods that can be given to dogs, such as tofu, egg yolks, dried shrimps, kelp, and soy products, egg yolks have the most calcium and are easier to absorb.
When the weather is good, the owner can take Pomeranian outdoors for sunbathing. Ultraviolet rays in sunlight can activate vitamin D in your dog’s body. You need to know that if the body lacks vitamin D, it cannot absorb calcium well. Therefore, the owner can take Pomeranian out for a walk more often, as long as the sunbathing duration does not exceed one hour.
If Pomeranian has been unable to erect ears, the owner can also assist in erecting ears. External auxiliary ear erection is usually done by binding. Tie the puppy's ears with something straight, or cut a plastic cylinder and stick it on the inside of the dog's ear, but be careful not to block the passage of the dog's ear. Generally, after two months, the puppies' ears will stand up.
