How to train a Corgi to sit down? Hold a snack in front of the Corgi, give the "sit" command, and gently press the Corgi down; when the Corgi sits down, praise it and Use snacks as rewards; train repeatedly until the Corgi understands the command to sit down and can extend the sitting time.

First, hold a snack in front of the Corgi with one hand, place the other hand on the Corgi’s butt, and then give the command to the Corgi: “Sit down.” While giving the command, gently push the Corgi's butt down with your hands until it sits down. After sitting down for a few seconds, if the Corgi doesn't move, praise it and say "so good", and then give it the snack in your hand.

The key point to note is that snacks cannot be placed too far away, otherwise the Corgi may keep moving around to try to eat them. It is best to hold them in front of the Corgi’s nose. The force of pressing the Corgi's butt down with your hands should be moderate. If it is too hard, the Corgi may feel uncomfortable and resist training.

After your Corgi sits down, you must pause for a few seconds before rewarding it. Otherwise, it will easily develop the habit of jumping up as soon as it sits down, and the training will fail. The owner should repeatedly train until the Corgi learns to identify the command to sit down in front of snacks and can persist in sitting for more than five seconds, and then slowly reduce the number of snacks. Until there are no snacks in the owner's hand, the Corgi will sit down voluntarily, and the training is considered a success.
