0 Jul 26,2025
1. It is best to start mating after the Shiba Inu is one year old. Female Shiba Inu will bleed during estrus, and 11-13 days after the first day of menstrual bleeding is the best time for Shiba Inu to mate for the first time.
2. It is not recommended to mate when the Shiba Inu is in heat for the first time, as it may easily cause dystocia. It is best to wait until the Shiba Inu is in heat for the second time before mating.
3. If two Shiba Inu dogs have the same defect, it is not recommended to mate, otherwise the defect will be more obvious in the next generation.
4. The size of the two Shiba Inu dogs for mating should not be too different and should be almost the same size.
