1. Beagles are approximately between 13 inches and 15 inches, and are standard medium-sized dogs.
2. The skull of a Beagle should be approximately oblong, with moderate length and width. The back of the head should be slightly rounded and the occiput should be wider.
3. The beagle’s eyes should be larger, the distance between the eyes should be wider, the eyes should be gentler, and the eyeballs should be dark black or brown.
4. A healthy beagle has broad nostrils and a sensitive sense of smell, and the tip of the nose is black. The teeth should fit together well, with a scissors bite.
5. The ears of a purebred beagle should be long and large, hanging down to the bottom of the mouth and close to both cheeks.
6. The neck of a purebred beagle is moderate in length, with slight wrinkles on the forehead, certain wrinkles on the neck, a deep and wide chest, a short back, sloping shoulders, and well-developed and strong muscles.
7. Purebred beagles should have short limbs, strong forelimbs, large hind limbs, and well-developed leg muscles. The feet are round with plump and hard pads.
8. The tail of a purebred beagle is thick and long, with a strong and upward sword-like tail that is often held high. There are white or light yellow hairs on the tail end, which can swing flexibly.
9. There are two types of purebred beagle coats: one type has smooth and fine hair; the other type has rough hair. The color of the beagle's coat is single color, which can be black, white, beige, red, blue-purple, tawny, or silver gray, but it cannot have magic patterns or mottled colors.
