Most small animal shears come with a special set of shearing blades. Sometimes you only need to buy a shearer with one type of blade, either No. 5 or No. 7. The No. 5 shear can cut to 1.5 cm, while the No. 7 shear can cut to 0.5 cm in length. Use a No. 5 shear to trim along the direction of the hair. Some areas that are expected to be shorter (such as the throat, ears, head and ribs) need to be trimmed against the grain.
There is no need to trim the chest hair. Just comb it forward with a comb, and then cut it diagonally to the ribs. The hair on the ribs should be cut short. Use a finer blade (No. 10 or No. 5) to trim the hair on both sides against the hair pattern. Place your fingers against the ear to make it form a bevel. Trim the hair around the ear. Use scissors to cut off the rough hair around the ear and inside the ear. .
The eyebrows should be trimmed longer than the hair at the inner corner of the eye, shorter than the outer corner of the eye, and finally the same length as the hair on the head, and the facial hair should be combed forward. Plucking or cutting long hair on the top of your head to make it look flatter. Note: When using a shear or shear to trim, the most important thing is to move naturally from one part to another, uniformly and smoothly, without any sudden changes in length.
Cut the hair around the feet and pads, and trim the toenails. The bathing speed should be fast, because the Airedale Terrier always hates staying in the bathtub, and it will look elated after the bath.
