First of all, strictly speaking, only dogs with official pedigree certificates are qualified to be called purebred dogs, and then they are divided into competition level and pet level based on purebreds. At the same time, there are two levels of competition: those who are good enough to participate in the competition, and those who can win the championship. In foreign countries, the concept of competition level is championship dog, but in China, all dogs that can participate in competitions are called competition level dogs.

Some friends think that purebred dogs can represent quality. This depends on how you say it. Compared with purebred dogs, pedigree dogs have a clearer pedigree, which can prove the purity of the breed. But compared with competition-level dogs, there is a difference in quality. It is precisely for this reason that some sellers advertise themselves as "class dogs", exaggerating the class and even exaggerating the standards.

Since the title of competition level is given, standards should speak for themselves. For example, CKU uses FCI dog breed standards to judge competitions. It should be pointed out that any pedigree dog is eligible to participate in dog racing. But, to dog show examiners, pedigree means nothing. Inspectors will not consider the results of the dog's parents. Not all offspring of competition-level dogs are competition-level.

The so-called competition-level dogs should be dogs with superior conditions, have participated in CAC or CACIB events, and have judged results of very good or above.

As for ordinary dogs, they are pets raised at home and do not have pedigree certificates. They are pet dogs that have never participated in competitions!
