How to bathe an Australian Terrier? Dog owners often go to a grooming shop to bathe their dogs. I believe dog owners will spend a lot of money. Here I will tell you how to bathe Schnauzer dogs, so that you can bathe your Schnauzer babies at home.

1. Dilute the bath solution first:

Although most dog baths already have a dilution ratio, in practice it has been found that when bathing Schnauzers, the dilution ratio of the bath solution should be larger.

Non-concentrated bath solutions should also be used diluted, so that they can be applied evenly, foam easily, and reduce irritation to local skin and hair.

2. The water temperature should be appropriate:

A very important point when bathing a Schnauzer dog is: the water temperature should be appropriate. The body temperature of an adult dog is about 38.5, and that of a puppy is 39-40. The water temperature should be close to its body temperature. Both too cold and too hot will make the dog feel uncomfortable. The water temperature should be higher in winter.

Once the dog is completely wet, it can be cleaned with bath liquid. Do not rub it vigorously with your hands when cleaning. It is best to use the same direction to avoid causing hair knots.

After washing, you can use some conditioner products. Rinse thoroughly at the end, be sure to rinse thoroughly!

3. Blow dry:

After giving the Schnauzer a bath, the dog should soak it in a towel until it is half dry, comb it with a ruler and comb it, and blow dry it.

When blow drying, dry the hair on the body to prevent the dog from catching a cold when the weather is cold.

Be sure to blow dry the roots first and then the tips. Be sure to pay attention to the size and temperature of the wind. Overheating will damage your hair and skin, and being too cold can easily lead to colds.

Try not to use strong wind when blowing your hair. Don’t let your dog dry out naturally just because it’s hot, as it can easily cause skin diseases.

4. Clean anal glands:

Schnauzer dogs should have their anal glands cleaned for a period of time. The anal glands are located at 4 and 8 o'clock below the anus. If you push them with your fingers, you can feel two balls. 5. Ears:

Use ear drops and cotton swabs to clean the dirt in Schnauzer dogs’ ears. Plug the ear hair regularly. After cleaning, dip a cotton swab into ear powder and apply it to the inside of the ears to keep them clean and dry.

6. Eyes:

Use canine eye drops to flush your dog’s eyes. Clean the hair from the corners of the eyes and eye secretions. (Chloramphenicol, which we commonly use for dogs, is said to cause blindness and should not be used frequently!)

7. Nails:

Use special nail scissors to cut to half of the colored part of the nail, and then do simple daily trimming.

8. Trim the hair on the soles of your feet:

The hair between the pads of the dog’s toes. Dogs have sweat glands on their feet. It will be cooler and cleaner to cut it off.

9. Trim the thigh roots, armpits, and lower abdomenThe hair on the pubic area is very easy to get knotted and dirty, so it is very easy to cut.

10. Trim the hair around the eyes:

The Schnauzer's hair is more likely to get stuck in the eyes, so it can be trimmed appropriately. The method is to carefully cut the hair between the eyes around the eyelids short, do not cut it close to the skin, and keep it to a certain length so as not to let the hair get stuck in the eyes. This way the eye sockets will also look better. Finally, I would like to add two things to note:

1. When taking a bath, turn the basin over and let the Schnauzer puppy stand on it. The dog will generally be less likely to move;

2. When cleaning, be careful not to let water or bath fluid flow into the dog's ears, glasses, or nose. You can put cotton balls in the ears before washing.
