What medicine should an American Foxhound take if he has enteritis? How to treat enteritis in an American Foxhound

What medicine should American Foxhounds take if they get enteritis? Have you ever encountered dogs with enteritis when raising dogs? How do you solve this disease? What medicine is more effective? ?
Cause
The cause of enteritis is roughly the same as that of gastritis, but this disease is usually secondary to certain infectious diseases, parasitic diseases, and toxic diseases. Such as: canine distemper, parvovirus, coronavirus, tapeworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, trichomonas, organophosphorus poisoning and other pesticide poisoning. In addition, pathogenic bacteria can also cause enteritis. For example: Escherichia coli, salmonella, Proteus, etc. can cause enteritis.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of enteritis are diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever and toxemia.
At the beginning of the disease, intestinal catarrhal symptoms often appear, with mucus and soft stools in the stool. When inflammation spreads to the submucosal tissue, the stool will be watery and smelly. When there is inflammation in the duodenum, vomiting symptoms may occur. When the intestinal mucosa is damaged and bleeding, the feces will be tomato paste color with a fishy smell, tenesmus, and anal incontinence in severe dogs.
Severe changes in the whole body include depression, slow reaction, general weakness, body temperature rising above 40-41°C, tachycardia, visible mucosal cyanosis, sunken eyeballs, high degree of dehydration, and acidosis. Severe cases may cause coma or death from self-poisoning.
Take a small bowl of steamed rice and boil it with one kilogram of water to make rice porridge. Stir while boiling until a layer of thick oil appears on the surface of the porridge. Add 2 grams (a small spoon) of salt and a packet of grains. Take probiotics, mix well and give it to the dog to drink. This has no taste and the dog will not like it at first, so he will be deprived of water and food from the beginning of the disease. Don’t feel bad. Feeling bad will only harm it. This porridge is just like water. It is also used as food, it will naturally eat when it is hungry.
Treatment
Mild catarrhal enteritis can heal on its own. First, the gastrointestinal tract should be cleaned, and neutral salt laxatives should be used to accelerate the discharge of putrefied and fermented contents in the gastrointestinal tract, and then compound gentian tincture, artificial salt, etc. should be used to strengthen the stomach. If watery diarrhea persists, astringents such as activated carbon can be used; to protect the intestinal mucosa, bismuth subnitrate and aluminum hydroxide can be used. Use atropine or belladonna tincture for pain relief. If it is bacterial or viral enteritis, sulfa drugs, furan drugs or antibiotics can be used, such as sulfamethoxazole, furazolidine, chloramphenicol, etc. In addition, according to the condition, use cardiac stimulation, rehydration, and vitamin B, C, etc.
