Can dogs eat ginger?

Dogs cannot eat ginger. Ginger is very irritating, and the dog's gastrointestinal tract is very fragile. It will cause harm to the dog's gastrointestinal and other organs. It may cause adverse symptoms such as vomiting and lack of energy. In severe cases, it may even lead to gradual organ failure. For your dog’s health, don’t feed it ginger, or other irritating foods, such as onions or scallions.
Foods that dogs cannot eat:
1. Small bones. Small bones are easier to chew or are small and sharp. Dogs can easily scratch their esophagus if they swallow these small, sharp bones and broken bones.
2. Seafood. Because dogs’ gastrointestinal digestive systems are different from ours, dogs often suffer from indigestion and are at risk of allergies when they eat too much seafood.
3. Onions, green onions. Onions and scallions contain disulfide, which is harmless to the human body, but can cause oxidation of red blood cells in cats, dogs, sheep, horses, and cattle, which may cause hemolytic anemia.
4. Liver. A small amount of liver is good for dogs, but overfeeding it can actually be harmful because liver contains large amounts of vitamin A, which can cause vitamin A poisoning in dogs.
5. Milk. Dogs with lactose intolerance will develop symptoms such as gas, diarrhea, dehydration or skin inflammation after drinking milk.
