Hip dislocation in dogs cannot heal on its own. Hip luxation in dogs is very serious because it is usually caused by the dog falling from a height or severely impacting the lower limbs, causing the dog's hip joint to dislocate. Due to frequent movement, it is difficult to repair and it is difficult for the joints to maintain their original functions. And due to bone friction (abnormal position, no synovial fluid lubrication), the ligaments are abnormally stretched, causing pain. The dog is unwilling to walk or bear weight, which in turn causes disuse atrophy of the muscles.

Treatment of hip dislocation in dogs

1. If there are some serious fractures, they can only be treated through surgery.

2. The conservative treatment plan is external fixation bandaging, restriction of movement, and oral joint protective agents containing chondroitin. Conservative treatment may not necessarily achieve a cure, but it can generally lead to some improvement.

4. Regular X-rays should be taken to see if there is any improvement and the degree of improvement.
