Types of parasites in dogs:

1. Hookworms: can directly penetrate the skin and cause severe itching, anemia, diarrhea and other symptoms in dogs.

2. Roundworms: Roundworms live in the small intestine and stomach of dogs. They mainly harm puppies between 1 and 3 months old. In severe cases, they can cause death.

3. Heartworm: It is caused by large roundworms. This parasite mainly exists in the blood vessels of the lungs and the heart.

4. Toxoplasma gondii: Dogs infected with Toxoplasma gondii mainly present with cough, fever, difficulty breathing, etc.

5. Tapeworms: They will absorb nutrients in the dog’s intestines, and flaky proglottids like maggots will appear in the dog’s feces and around the anus.

6. Coccidia: Coccidia mainly parasitizes the small intestinal mucosa of dogs and can cause diarrhea symptoms.
