Dogs head against the wall is a forebrain disease

Canine head crush syndrome usually manifests as the dog pushing its head against a wall or other object. The occurrence of these behaviors may indicate damage to the nervous system, such as forebrain disease (damage to parts of the forebrain and thalamus), poisoning, etc. Dogs of all breeds and ages can suffer from this disease.

In addition to "thinking about your faults", it may also be accompanied by forced pacing, turning in circles, changes in learning (training) behavior, epilepsy, damage reactions, visual impairment, etc. These symptoms may lead to more serious lesions. For example, forced pacing can lead to ulcers on the paws; standing against a wall for a long time can lead to head and facial injuries.

Causes of forebrain disease in dogs

Metabolic diseases (hypernatremia, hyponatremia);
Tumors near the skull and brain;
Nervous system infection (rabies or Fungal infection);
Acute head injury;
Stroke;
Forebrain disease;
Toxic substances damage the nervous system (such as lead).

Diagnosis for dogs with a wall on their head

Blood pressure, eye structure examination, retinal base examination, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), urinalysis (revealing the metabolic system problem), blood lead concentration (to measure toxins in the body).
Be sure not to use medicine indiscriminately before getting a diagnosis from a doctor.
