1. Dogs should be dewormed first and then immunized. However, when the immunity is low during the immunity period, it is best not to deworm.
2. It is best for female dogs to be dewormed one month before pregnancy or after delivery, and follow the doctor’s advice during pregnancy.
3. Surface deworming generally requires no bathing for the first three days and the next three days, so as not to affect the deworming effect.
4. If you see parasites pulled out or found to be expelled after taking the medicine, follow this procedure again after 1 week.

What are the common parasites in dogs

Internal parasites: roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms, nematodes, whipworms, coccidia, heartworms, and toxoplasma
External parasites : Fleas, ticks, scabies, hair follicles, ear mites

How to judge if your dog needs deworming

1. If your dog has a big appetite but is still very thin, it means It may have parasites in its body. Because gastrointestinal parasites such as roundworms can rob nutrients, dogs' absorption of nutrients is far worse than that of healthy dogs.
2. If the dog’s poop is always shapeless but has no other adverse reactions, it is most likely caused by parasites, but it may also be caused by the dog’s gastrointestinal sensitivity, which requires further judgment.
3. Some parasites will linger near the dog’s anus, so frequent rubbing of the dog’s butt is also an obvious sign.
4. If there are too many parasites, the dog will vomit, and there will be bugs in the vomit. In addition, there may also be eggs or adult worms in the feces.
5. If your dog coughs frequently, has no other symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, and develops wheezing and shortness of breath during exercise, it should be noted that the dog is likely to be infected with parasites.

How to deal with parasites in dogs

Internal parasites

Oral anthelmintic drugs are generally used for internal deworming of dogs. We recommend Bayer from Germany, based on body weight. It can be taken on an empty stomach or after eating, but the effect is better when taken on an empty stomach. This anthelmintic may cause mild gastrointestinal reactions in dogs. This is a normal phenomenon and will heal itself within 1-2 days.

External Parasites

Dogs generally use drops such as Fulin to deworm dogs. After the drug is dropped into several parts, it will enter the blood and kill the external parasites, and prevent reinfection.
