Symptoms of dog eczema

The clinical manifestations of eczema are divided into acute and chronic.

1. The main manifestation of acute eczema is the appearance of red rashes or papules on the skin. The lesions begin on the face and back, especially the bridge of the nose, eyes and cheeks. They can easily spread to the surrounding areas and form small blisters. After the blisters burst, there will be local erosion. Due to itching and the moistness of the affected area, the animals will be restless and lick and bite the affected area, causing the symptoms of skin papules to worsen.

Due to the long course of chronic eczema, the skin becomes thickened, lichenified, and has dandruff; although the moistness of the skin is relieved, the itching symptoms still exist and may worsen. Treatment methods for dog eczema

The treatment of eczema should be based on a confirmed diagnosis and pay attention to the importance of comprehensive treatment. It is necessary to relieve itching, reduce inflammation, desensitize, enhance nutrition, and keep the environment clean.

Penicillin and gentamicin can be injected intramuscularly to prevent infection.
