It is better for dogs to take a bath once every 10 days or so

No matter how clean the owner is, remember that you must not bathe your dog every three or two days or every day, and dogs with skin diseases cannot be bathed every day. Because the dog's skin secretes a kind of oil. In addition to emitting odor, this oil can also provide a layer of protection to the dog's skin. If you wash off this layer of oil from your dog's body every day, your dog's skin will lose its protective shield, become extremely sensitive and have reduced resistance, making it more likely to suffer from skin diseases and hair loss.
In spring and summer, it is best to bathe the dog once every 7-10 days, while in autumn and winter, we can bathe the dog once every 10-20 days.

Under what circumstances can dogs not be bathed?

1. The puppies have just been bought home or the puppies have not been vaccinated. During this period, the dog’s immunity is low and it is not convenient to bathe. Otherwise, the dog’s immunity is low. It is very easy to get sick and catch a cold.
2. Pregnant dogs or lactating female dogs are not suitable for bathing.
3. Sick dogs or dogs that are currently in poor health should not take a bath. If the dog is already sick or has just recovered from a serious illness, and is weak at this time, taking a bath can easily aggravate the condition and cause a cold.
4. Dogs that have just finished eating or exercising strenuously should not take a bath immediately. Wait for at least 2 hours.

How to bathe a dog correctly

1. We can take the dog directly into the bathroom and wash it with the shower head, or put the dog into a basin or bucket, but the head and The neck should be above the water.
2. It is best to take a bath at noon and try to avoid thunderstorms and snowy days with large temperature differences. The most suitable water temperature is about 38 degrees. You can put some cotton balls into the dog's ears to prevent water from entering the ears.
3. We first use a comb to comb the dog's hair, then wet the dog's whole body with water, and then apply shower gel all over the dog's body and rub it up and down to create foam.
4. When cleaning the dog’s head, be careful not to get water and shower gel into the mouth, ears and eyes. After a large amount of foam is produced all over the dog's body, we let the entire foam stay on the dog's body for about 3 minutes, so that the shower gel can clean, remove scale and sterilize. Finally we rinsed the dog clean with water.
5. After cleaning, remember to use an absorbent towel to dry the whole body of the dog. Finally, small dogs can use a hair dryer, and medium and large dogs are best to use a water blower to dry the whole body.
6. After we give the dog a bath, we can use ear cleaning liquid to clean the dog’s ear canal and cut its nails.
