Dogs cannot be vaccinated against colds

Vaccines are called antigens in biology. They enter the dog's body to stimulate the dog's immune system, and then produce antibodies to resist the virus; when the dog catches a cold, the body's natural Antibodies will be produced automatically. Injecting vaccines will aggravate the condition and have no therapeutic effect at all. Therefore, parents must pay attention to only injecting vaccines when the dog is healthy.

Do not vaccinate a dog that is in an unfamiliar environment

If you have just bought a dog home, because you do not know its previous vaccination history, you should first take it to a pet hospital for professional vaccination and antibodies. After testing, wait for about two weeks for the dog to become familiar with the environment and show no abnormal symptoms before taking it for vaccination. Dogs that have not been in the house for a long time after moving also need to wait until they are familiar with the environment before being injected to avoid adverse reactions caused by maladaptation.

Pregnant female dogs should not be vaccinated

Most vaccines are attenuated vaccines, so dogs with low immunity cannot be vaccinated, including dogs with a large number of parasites in the body or dogs that are undergoing deworming , and the body of the female dog changes during pregnancy, the vaccine injected at this time is likely to cause rejection, and the vaccine will be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta, which is not good for the health of the fetus.

Notes on vaccination:

1. After vaccination, it is best to stay in the hospital for observation for 15-30 minutes for safety reasons. If an allergic reaction occurs, edema, suppuration, pain or elevated body temperature will occur at the vaccination site, If your dog trembles, develops red rash and other symptoms, please inform the doctor promptly.
2. Do not bathe your dog for one week before and after vaccination.
3. Do not deworm or take antibiotics within three days of vaccination, as this may cause adverse reactions or immune failure.
4. Elderly dogs usually have reduced resistance and are prone to illness, and are more difficult to recover from. Therefore, even elderly dogs need regular vaccinations.
5. Only healthy dogs can be vaccinated. If there are problems such as heart disease and chronic diseases, you need to consult a doctor for examination.
