How to identify a Labrador

The first estrus of a female Chihuahua is approximately 6-8 months after birth, when the dog’s reproductive organs are basically fully developed. Usually, adult Chihuahuas go into estrus twice a year, mostly from March to May in spring and September to November in autumn. When a female dog is in estrus, red mucus will flow out of her vagina, which is commonly known as "menstruation." The estrus lasts for about 21 days. At this time, the dog will have symptoms such as frequent urination, decreased appetite, like to run outside, and like to be close to male dogs.
During the period of estrus, if you do not plan to breed your Chihuahua, it is best to put on menstrual pants to prevent pregnancy and bacterial invasion. If you take your dog out, you must tighten the leash, because dogs in heat tend to run around.
If you plan to breed your Chihuahua, you should pay attention to supplementing it with nutrients. You can give your dog some foods high in protein, calcium and vitamins, such as chicken breast, fish, cabbage, carrots and other foods, cooked and chopped , added to dog food. If you don’t have time to make complementary food, you can also buy high-quality nutritional paste to feed your dog.
