How to feed an adult Teddy

After the golden retriever is born, at about three months of age, it will begin to shed its lanugo hair and gradually grow new hair. The duration of this stage will be determined based on the golden retriever's own condition. Some golden retrievers have not finished changing their hair until 8 months, and some have completely changed it in less than 6 months. During the period when golden retriever puppies are changing their fetal hair, owners must ensure that the golden retrievers receive sufficient nutrients such as protein, calcium, vitamins, and minerals, so that the hair can grow quickly and well.
During the molting period of golden retriever puppies, in addition to paying attention to nutritional supplements, you must also comb the golden retriever's hair every day and do a good job in environmental sanitation at home. Golden Retrievers have relatively poor immunity during the molting period, and a large area of their skin is exposed, making them susceptible to parasites and bacteria invading their bodies. Therefore, owners must keep their homes clean and tidy, and their dogs’ utensils and kennels must be cleaned and exposed to the sun regularly.
It is worth mentioning that when a golden retriever reaches adulthood, there will be two hair shedding periods each year, during the season change from March to May in spring and September to November in autumn. This is a normal hair shedding phenomenon caused by dogs adapting to climate change. It usually lasts for one to two months, so parents don’t need to worry.
