How to toilet train Schnauzer? First of all, you should observe and find out the pattern of urination and defecation of Schnauzer puppies. Once you find the pattern, it will be easier to train. Every time before you feel your dog needs to urinate, let it go to a designated place, or take it directly outside. Give it enough time to urinate. If it urinates outside, give it a food reward in time. If you defecate in other non-defecation places, you should reprimand Xiaoxue loudly, but do not hit it.

This method may take a little longer, so be patient. If you don't have time, you can close it in another way. If possible, use a flight box, otherwise use a wooden box or cardboard box. Just be big enough for it to lie down, just put it inside and ignore it.

This kind of training is best started when the Schnauzer is young. Since puppies have poor ability to control their own defecation before they are 3 to 4 months old, they will urinate everywhere after their bladders are filled with urine, or when they encounter some interference or stimulation. Under normal circumstances, puppies need to urinate 10 to 20 times a day and defecate about 4 to 5 times a day.

At first, even if the owner says to the dog, "Hey! Pee quickly," the Schnauzer may not be able to urinate. Therefore, you can surround the toilet with wire and put it inside. Keep the dog in the wire fence until it completes its excretion, and then let it out after it has completed its excretion. The dog can usually be allowed to move freely indoors, but it must still be kept in a dog house when the owner goes out or goes to bed at night. As soon as you leave the dog house, you must take it to the toilet to relieve itself.

After constant practice, Xiaoxue will develop a conditioned reflex. As long as the Schnauzer dog goes to the toilet, it will immediately urinate and defecate. When this can be done, there will be no need for barbed wire. As mentioned before, there is no point in using things that smell like dog urine. Therefore, it is correct to use clean newspapers and mats immediately after the dog urinates. This is correct toilet education.

If it still doesn’t work, you can try this method to let the Schnauzer learn to defecate in a fixed place: First, place a potty in a fixed place, put some old newspapers in it, and spread some sand or soil on top. Within a certain period of time (for example, after getting up in the morning, after feeding, before going to bed at night), lead the Schnauzer to the place where the potty is placed.

If the Schnauzer can defecate and defecate in the potty, the trainer should give the dog caressing or material rewards. Sometimes the dog may not urinate and defecate within this time. It doesn't matter. Let it go after a certain period of time.
