How to bathe a long-haired dog? First prepare various tools for bathing, and comb the hair of the long-haired dog to make it smooth before getting wet; after getting wet from the back, except for the head, use the hand to massage Massage the whole body with bubble bath, then rinse off; first wipe off some water with a towel, do not rub hard, it is easy to get knotted, and then blow dry with warm air.

Preparation before taking a bath

Prepare what you need: absorbent cotton to plug your ears, bath soap and conditioner, a kettle for mixing the bath solution, a kettle for flushing, and a towel. Place your dog on a non-slip mat. Gently place a wad of cotton wool in your ear to prevent water from getting into your ear canal.

Before bathing: Before wetting the dog, comb it smooth. The advantage of this is that it allows the fallen hair on the body to stick to the comb, and the comb can take away some of the dust. And completely smooth fur is more likely to get wet and soaked. It is also easier to clean when using bath soap. Make sure you brush your dog's coat and remove any sticky or tangled hair.

Take a bath

Make sure the water temperature is appropriate, just warm water. Wash your dog's body thoroughly except for his head. Use a measured amount of regular all-purpose bath solution and massage all parts of the body thoroughly until rich lather is produced. Rinse off most of the suds, apply the bath solution again, and rinse well. Use a suitable conditioner and leave it on for 10 minutes to allow the hair to absorb a lot of nutrients and rinse the dog until the fur is completely clean.

Before washing the dog with bath soap and preparing to rinse, squeeze out as much foam and water as possible from the fur with your hands.

When a long-haired dog is bathed, we will wet its fur from the inside out, then apply bath soap, and then rub it into as much foam as possible. I think this process is very beneficial to us hard-working dogs. For parents, it’s quite fun. Rub and rub on the dog's body to make a lot of bubbles. The wet hair on the dog's body will also become very fluffy, but if you rinse it directly with water at this time, it will take a long time to completely rinse the bath liquid off the body. In fact, you just need to use your hands to squeeze as much foam and water out of the dog's hair as shown in the picture above, until the hair on the whole body, including the limbs, is close to the skin. Then you rinse the dog with water, and it will be much easier to rinse it clean. I think it can save about half of the water and time

Blow dry

Try to dry it as much as possible, don't use too much force, otherwise the hair will become tangled. Use a hair dryer to blow all over the body, use high-speed warm air, do not heat it too high, and pay attention to safety when blowing on the head. While blow-drying your hair, use a pin brush or a soft brush with suitable hardness to brush the fur on your body, just like blow-drying your hair. Follow the steps and blow all over your body until the hair is completely dry.
