There are many foods that Samoyeds must not eat: such as milk, small bones, chicken liver, etc. Although these foods are fine for humans to eat and are nutritious, they are very harmful to Samoyeds. If a Samoyed eats these foods, it can range from diarrhea and vomiting to severe cases of urinary incontinence, convulsions, and even death.

List of foods that Samoyeds cannot eat:

(1) Milk. Samoyeds cannot drink milk because the dog's gastrointestinal tract is intolerant to lactose, and milk is high in lactose (dog milk does not matter, because it is low in lactose). Therefore, if Samoyed puppies drink milk, they will not be able to absorb it at all, resulting in a decrease in immunity, and diarrhea is a precursor.

(2) Meat with a lot of fat, as well as irritating foods such as sour, spicy, salty, etc. These things will irritate the stomach of Samoyed dogs and are not recommended for dogs. Don’t give your dog irritating spices such as ginger, curry powder, and chili pepper

(3) Animal liver: Animal liver contains a large amount of vitamin A. After long-term feeding of large amounts of liver, vitamin A will accumulate in the body. When the accumulation exceeds 4 times the liver's capacity, toxicity will occur. It can lead to Satsuma. The dog's limbs suffer from swelling, pain, lameness, and even nerve paralysis, paralysis of the hind limbs, and fecal and urinary incontinence.

(4) Never let Samoyed dogs eat chocolate. In severe cases, it may cause urinary incontinence, schizophrenia and other symptoms.

(5) Small bones: Large and medium-sized Samoyed puppies can be fed large bones rich in calcium, but do not feed chicken, fish, duck bones, etc., especially Samoyed puppies, to prevent them from getting stuck. Seize or puncture the Samoyed's throat or esophagus.

(6) Pastries: Generally speaking, there is no need to feed dogs cakes.

(7) Do not feed your Samoyed dog squid, shellfish, mushrooms and other indigestible foods, otherwise it will cause diarrhea or vomiting.

(8) Do not give food containing preservatives to Samoyeds. Such as ham sausage, sausage, shredded squid, etc.

Basic precautions for feeding Samoyeds:

(1) Do not feed your Samoyed with leftovers.

Many people think that food eaten by humans is very nutritious, or they are afraid of wasting it or saving time, so they feed leftovers to their dogs. However, leftover rice is often mixed with sharp fish bones or bones, which can cause oral injuries to Samoyeds and even cause infection in severe cases. So for the safety of your Samoyed, first don’t be lazy and feed them leftovers.

(2) Pay attention to heating

The food fed to the Samoyed, whether it is animal food, grain food, or vegetables, should be washed and heated to prevent the puppy from being poisoned. Especially in summer, food is more likely to spoil.
