2. Apply for shipping certification documents

1. Animal health and immunity certificate (can be issued by the shipping company). Pets can obtain animal health and immunity certificates after being vaccinated.

2. Animal quarantine certificate (can be issued by the shipping company) and transport equipment sterilization certificate (can be issued by the shipping company). After confirming the itinerary, bring your pet and health and immunity certificate to animal and plant inspection the day before or on the day of departure.

The quarantine agency will conduct a health inspection, and quarantine personnel can issue an animal quarantine certificate and a transportation vehicle disinfection certificate after completing the inspection.

3. On the day of departure, bring the pet’s special flight box and the above three certificates to the Animal Health and Epidemic Prevention Supervision Station for quarantine supervision and inspection. Only after passing the inspection can the epidemic prevention supervisor stamp the official seal of epidemic prevention supervision on the quarantine certificate.

Note: cage. Airlines require small pets (weighing less than 15 kilograms) to use special pet flight boxes, and the openings need to be tied tightly with wires. Medium and large pets (weighing more than 15 kilograms) must use wooden flight boxes lined with wire mesh and must be strong and reliable.

3. Handle consignment procedures

Bring your pet, air box (can be handled by the shipping company), and the above three certificates to the pet shipping department to go through the pet shipping procedures.

IV. Picking up pets

Under normal circumstances, you can go through the pick-up procedures one and a half hours after the plane lands.

Things to note when transporting animals:

1. Packaging preparation: Special plastic flight boxes and special wooden flight boxes are required. Usually household iron pet cages are not qualified.

2. Preparation for quarantine: The airline will require you to take your pet for quarantine. You should apply for a quarantine certificate at the local inspection and quarantine station before transporting.

3. Time preparation: After selecting your flight, arrive at the airport at least 4 hours in advance. Otherwise, you may not be able to board the plane in time after quarantine. Expect waiting times and flight times.
