When you start training, don’t put the things you want the dog to find too far away. Just start from a dozen to dozens of steps, with the dog as the center. At the beginning, take the object you want to find (you can use wrapped food at the beginning) and walk a dozen steps away. After reaching an obstacle, put it in a place where the dog cannot see it. Return to the dog and use gestures to find it. Use the command to let the dog start searching. At this stage, you should try to avoid letting the dog go in circles, because in the SCH exam, if this behavior occurs, it will not be regarded as qualified.

At the beginning of search training, you should pay attention to making the dog understand that the direction of straightening the arm is the direction for him to search, rather than letting him look at the arm. At the stage of this training, you can consciously point your hand in a direction when walking with the dog, and command the dog to "go". If you repeat this many times, the dog will know that the direction pointed by the hand is where he should go. direction.

During the search process, if the dog becomes impatient or stops searching, he should be asked to "lie down" in time, wait for a while, and then start again. Until he finds the item and takes it back, reward him immediately. It must be noted that if the dog finds it difficult during the search process, then find a way to help him, and finally let him find the object, otherwise the frustration will make the dog resistant to this training. And reward him at every training stage.

After the dog has mastered the basic working principles, it can slowly extend the search distance.
