Head: The head of a golden retriever. First of all, there is an obvious bone protrusion at the top of the head. A golden retriever without this protrusion is not a pure breed. Secondly, the nose should be sharp and concave to form a vertical straight line. It is better to be deeper than shallow.

Eyes: The distance between the two eyes is wide, the eyes are dark brown, and the black eyes are bright. The best eye color is dark brown.

Coat: Golden Retriever has dense undercoat. The upper coat is smooth or wavy, with colors ranging from gold to creamy yellow. It is best to have thick coat that is impermeable to water. The short coat grows well. The outer coat is strong, close to the body, vertical or curly, but not rough or silky. The hair on the head, soles of feet and forelimbs is short; there are bushes of hair on the back and abdomen of the forelimbs; the hair on the neck, back of thighs and the inside of the tail is denser. The coat color exudes different shades of golden luster, and the hair on the feet and tail can be lighter in color

Body: Golden Retrievers are generally well-proportioned and strong. Balanced physique, thick chest, level back, and muscular waist.

Nose: Golden retrievers are more popular if their noses are black.
