Notes on raising koi carp

1. When raising koi carp for the first time, the new water should be left for a period of time, and the filter and air pump should be turned on. The fish can only be released after about three days to a week.
2. The feeding of koi requires high water pH, preferably neutral (PH7-7.4). Dirty and whitish water in the aquarium is most likely to cause dead fish. If this happens, timely measures should be taken or all the water should be replaced. The water temperature is generally kept between 15-25℃.

3. Generally, koi fish like to eat animal food baits. Common ones include fish insects, water fleas, paramecium, water earthworms, etc. Common plant food baits include turnips, aquatic plants, etc. When feeding fish, worms, pellet feed, small earthworms and other bait, do not feed too much. Generally, 80% full is sufficient.
