2. Severe non-lethal type

The incubation period of this disease is 2-8 days, and it is more common in breeding dogs over 1 year old. Sick dogs suffer from depression, loss of appetite or exhaustion, difficulty breathing, dry cough, serous nasal fluid, and excessive tears. The body temperature can rise to 40-41°C, and thirst increases, followed by vomiting, diarrhea, blood in the feces, and abdominal pain. Obviously, subcutaneous weight-bearing, especially head and face edema is more obvious. Anemia is more common. A few cases also have symptoms of jaundice, which last for 1-2 weeks and then gradually recover. During the recovery period, sick dogs often have corneal turbidity or even turn blue, becoming "hepatitis blue eyes", which usually heal on their own after 2-8 days. . The sick dog can recover if it lasts more than 48 hours after the onset of the disease. The mortality rate of this disease is about 25%.

3. Sudden onset and fatal type

This disease mostly occurs before and after weaning or in 1-year-old dogs. The sick dog suddenly became ill and became highly depressed, accompanied by severe abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. There was blood in the vomitus and excrement. Puppies often die within 12-24 hours; most adult dogs die around 15 days due to severe illness.

Treatment methods for dog infectious hepatitis:

1. Use hyperimmune serum in the early stage and subcutaneously inject 5-10 ml into each dog. For corneal turbidity, you can mix 1:10 calomel and glucose evenly and blow it into the eye, three times a day for three to five days, or use chloramphenicol eye drops and squeeze chlortetracycline eye ointment into the eye overnight to prevent irritation. Infect.

2. Penicillin can be injected intramuscularly at 40,000-80,000 units per kg, three times a day for 2-4 days.

3. Commonly used drugs for liver protection can be intravenously injected with 5% glucose saline or 10% glucose solution plus Gantelex and Vipromine, or use Gantelex 3 times a day, 2-3 articles each time.

4. Daqingye, isatis root, vitamin B, and vitamin C are injected intramuscularly. You can also use 20-40 ml of 50% glucose solution, 250 mg of vitamin C or adenosine triphosphate for 3-5 days.
