Criteria for selecting Huskies:
1. Height and weight. Huskies are medium-sized dogs, with a height standard of 51-60 cm, a male dog's weight standard of 20-27 kg, and a female dog's weight standard of 16-23 kg. At the same time, the height is slightly shorter than the body length.
2. The facial features of the head. Purebred Huskies require a medium-sized head with a slightly rounded top and the widest point gradually becoming straighter toward the eyes. There is a pair of almond-shaped eyes, moderately set, slightly slanted, and the color can accept brown, blue, and one brown and one blue. The ears are triangular in shape, medium in size, upright on the top of the head, and have an obtuse tip. The muzzle is of medium width, tapering gradually toward the nose. The color of the nose can be black, flesh color, liver color, and snow nose is also acceptable.
3. Temperament. As adults, Huskies are friendly, docile, alert, enthusiastic, and smart. But their obedience is low and they don’t like to be controlled.
4. Coat color. Purebred Huskies have a double coat of medium length. The upper coat is straight and smooth, not messy or fluffy, while the lower coat is soft, dense and not rough. Coat color can range from black to pure white, from brown to red, and different color spots on the head are also allowed.
5. Action gait. A brisk and smooth gait when walking or running is a must for a purebred Husky. When running, the line of their back should remain stable and level. As they run faster, their limbs gradually move inward.
