Folded-eared cats may become ill in two months. Generally, cats with folded ears will develop symptoms when they are 2-6 months old, but they may also develop symptoms after one year of age. They develop the disease because their own genes are defective, and they are prone to achondroplasia, congenital heart disease and other diseases. There is no precise age limit for the onset of the disease.

Symptoms of cats with folded ears:

1. In the early stages of the disease, cats with folded ears will show inactivity and slow movement.

2. When cats with folded ears become ill, they will limp on their hind limbs, lift their hands, arch their backs, and walk as if they are walking on stilts.

3. When cats with folded ears become ill, they will have stiff tails, swollen joints, hyperplasia or lumps, and abnormal bending angles.
