Gentamicin is the main drug for treating cat distemper. It is an antibiotic and has a bactericidal effect. It can be used with interferon and feline distemper inhibitory protein to cure cat distemper. Gentamicin has nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity and neurotoxicity, so when using it, avoid using it with other drugs with similar ingredients. Feed it twice a day at a dosage of 5~10mg/kg. Cats must be treated promptly after contracting feline distemper. There is still a high hope of cure.
