Editor's Foreword

As soon as the dog gets sick, the owners worry that the dog has parvovirus. They spend a lot of money on various examinations, but the results are still unclear. In fact, sometimes they just eat two pieces of dirt. Regarding mycotomycin, I would like to share with you some of the early symptoms. If you find any suspicion, it is best to seek medical treatment in advance.
Parvovirus is the second most serious disease for dogs, and the cure rate is low. This virus cannot be saved by spending any amount of money. At present, the world has not developed special measures to deal with this disease. The cure rate of this disease is not 100%, which is equivalent to human SARS. Once infected with this virus, dog owners must be mentally prepared for the worst.

What is micro?

Canine parvovirus is a serious infectious intestinal disease in dogs. It can cause vomiting, diarrhea (bloody stools), loss of appetite, high fever, dehydration and death in puppies and older dogs. There is currently no drug to treat parvovirus, only symptomatic treatment. Good sanitation and vaccinations help prevent the spread of disease. In addition, dogs must receive a combination of six vaccines on time!

Small clinical manifestations in dogs

Dogs will develop physical symptoms within 3-14 days after being exposed to parvovirus, with the average onset time being 5-7 days. Clinical symptoms: loss of appetite, depression, fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Adult dogs may not necessarily have fever at first, but may experience repeated violent vomiting, thin, projectile or bloody feces. The mortality rate for adult dogs is 2-3%. Puppy mortality rate is 25-50%.

Classification of dog parvovirus

Dogs infected with parvovirus can be clinically divided intoenteritis type and myocarditis type.
Enteritis type: The natural incubation period of infection is 7 to 14 days. The disease initially manifests as fever, with body temperature reaching above 40°C, depression, inability to eat, and vomiting. The initial vomitus is food, and later it becomes mucus-like and yellow-green liquid. Diarrhea started one day after the onset of symptoms. At the beginning of the disease, the feces will be thin and mushy. As the disease progresses, the feces will become ketchup color or coffee color, smell fishy, and the frequency of defecation is variable. Sick dogs after bloody stools show sunken eyeballs, dry nose, general weakness, weight loss, accompanied by pale conjunctiva and oral mucosa, and severe anemia symptoms. If the disease is not treated in time, it can cause poisoning by toxin absorption in the intestinal contents until Shock, death.

Myocarditis Type: Most puppies are about 40 days old. There are no obvious clinical symptoms. Some of them suddenly had difficulty breathing, suffered heart failure, and died within a short period of time. Some died from mild diarrhea. Newborn puppies can develop heart disease when infected with parvovirus, a virus that rapidly destroys the puppy's heart muscle cells. The dog then develops asthma, oral mucosa and cyanosis. Sometimes, sudden fatigue and death are the only symptoms of the disease in puppies. Tolerant puppies may still die from the disease weeks to months after infection due to permanent heart muscle damage.
