The number of bags can be placed in proportion to the amount of dog food, and then put the dog food in, cover it, and place it in a ventilated and dry place, away from direct sunlight or dark and humid places, so that the oil in the dog food is not lost and the dog food is ensured. The food does not lose its flavor.
In addition, grain storage barrels are generally not equipped with desiccant and need to be configured separately. The desiccant package also has a service life. If the appearance is swollen and deformed, it means that it has absorbed too much water and is useless. At this time, the desiccant can be replaced with a new one. If you have the habit of using a feed storage bucket, please put it in together with the packaging for storage.

Taboos and precautions for dog food storage

1) Feed packaging helps prevent the contents from oxidizing and being affected by moisture.
Some companies use better packaging, including oxygen barrier bags made from petroleum products. This type of packaging is very effective at isolating oxygen and moisture.
After feeding, squeeze out as much excess air as possible and reseal it, or fold the opening very tightly before clamping it up
2) The original dog food packaging has some information on it, such as barcodes, batch numbers, etc. code, and expiration date. These labels are very important, especially if your dog has a bad stomachache and you suspect it is related to the feed.
Do not pour feed directly into the storage bucket.

Airtight pet food storage containers

Here are some better options: absolutely airtight plastic storage containers, metal pet food storage barrels (suitable for dog food and snacks), glass containers.
Glass and metal are both very effective oxygen and moisture barrier materials. It’s also more beautiful!
Store in a cool, dry place, such as a kitchen cabinet.
Please be careful when storing dog food in the refrigerator. The refrigerator will increase the moisture content of dry food. If you want to store it in the refrigerator, please use kitchen-specific vacuum packaging bags to prevent the feed from coming into contact with moisture.
If you don’t have a vacuum packaging machine, store small portions in zipper bags or small airtight food containers, just enough to last your dog for a few days at a time.
