What medicine should dogs take for pyometra?

Mild early pyometra can be treated with pus drainage, flushing, and anti-inflammatory therapy. Inject diethylstilbestrol intramuscularly, 0.1 mg/kg body weight, and perform uterine irrigation 12-24 hours later with warmed antibiotic saline. After flushing, oxytocin is injected intramuscularly, 1 unit/kg of body weight, to facilitate the drainage of intrauterine pus.

Symptoms of pyometra in dogs
