Moderate hair trimming is beneficial to cooling

Some parents shave their pets as soon as summer comes, but this is not right.

Exposed skin is more susceptible to UV sunburn and external parasites.

1. It is recommended that the thick hair on long-haired dogs be shaved shorter or thinned.

2. Cats will shed their fur in summer to adapt to temperature changes, and do not need additional shaving.

3. The hair on the soles of pets’ feet can easily affect heat dissipation, so excessively long sole hair should be modified in time.

Don’t be too greedy for cold showers and ice cubes

1. Taking a bath to cool down is also a good method, but be careful not to use shower gel frequently. Just rinse with water of about 20 degrees and dry it. The shower gel only needs to be used once every 1 to 2 weeks;

2. After washing, do not enter the air-conditioned room wet. Be sure to blow dry. Short-haired dogs can be air-dried in a ventilated place;

3. You can make some homemade ice cubes for your pet to lick, but be careful not to eat too much every day to avoid diarrhea.

Pay special attention when going out

1. Choose to walk your dog in the morning and night when the temperature is low, and it should not be strenuous and should last for about 30 minutes;

2. Bring enough clean drinking water and a small electric fan;

3. Once you find your pet is short of breath, rest and replenish water immediately. If it cannot be relieved, stop walking;

4. Obese, sick, young and old pets should not go out as much as possible.

Be especially careful when going out for a walk: the asphalt road will be very hot when exposed to high temperatures!

Create a suitable indoor environment

1. Do not leave dogs and cats in closed environments (such as cars, cages, closed balconies);

2. If the cooling temperature of the air conditioner is too low, it will cause runny nose and cold in pets. It is recommended that the indoor temperature be maintained at around 26 degrees;

3. Do not turn on the air conditioner immediately after returning from the outdoors. If the temperature difference is too large, you may easily get sick. You can use a fan to cool down first.
