Process of midwifery for dogs

1. If the dog has not entered the delivery room at this time, please try to let it enter the delivery room you prepared for it and start giving birth.
2. During delivery, the baby will pass through the birth canal. If the mother dog's birth canal is open, the baby will be delivered smoothly. If the mother's birth canal is still tight, you can give the mother some time or even massage her abdomen. Some experienced owners can give the female dog an injection to induce labor.
3. When the owner is helping the female dog deliver the baby, it is best to wash both hands with soap and then disinfect them with iodine. If the mother dog has not torn the afterbirth, you should take the initiative to tear the baby's afterbirth, and then use scissors to cut the umbilical cord about 3 cm above the baby's navel by visual inspection. And starting from the baby's navel to the 1 cm length of the umbilical cord, they must be disinfected with iodine, and then the umbilical cord is tied up (about 1 cm in length). When the umbilical cord dries, it will fall off naturally.
4. 1. Prepare another carton containing towels and a preheated pet electric blanket.
2. Then take the mother dog out of the delivery room first. One person will clean the delivery room again, and the other person will wipe the mother dog's body with a hot towel, especially the abdomen.
