Steps of dog recall training

1. First send out the "come" signal. After the "come" command is given, the gesture should be like greeting a child, with the right hand stretched forward, palm down, and the palm moving up and down. If the dog doesn't hear clearly or doesn't notice, continue to repeat the "come" command while matching the gesture.
2. If the dog has no movement or reaction, you can gently pull the leash with your left hand, and at the same time, the trainer steps back to let the dog come over. When the dog completes the coming action, it should be encouraged.
3. When the dog understands the "come" command, the owner can keep a certain distance from the dog without pulling on the leash, give the command and make gestures to let the dog complete the action. Once the dog learns it, it can be directed to complete the action by just using the command without using hand gestures.

Basic requirements for dog recall training

1. First determine the password. In the early stages of training, the dog must first clearly remember the password. Usually it means "come" or "come back". The owner cannot be changed at will during training. The dog will not remember this.
2. You can bring a retractable leash to your dog during training. If the dog does not obey the command quickly, you can tighten the leash, gradually drag the dog towards you, and at the same time repeat the "come" command and gesture to the dog.
3. During training, if the dog does not come over, you can consider using food as an attraction. When your dog comes to you, reward him verbally.
