Dogs don’t like having their faces touched

It’s best not to let others touch your dog’s face. If your dog is touched by someone you don’t know, or if your dog is nervous, it may bite. If the dog shows a compromising posture, a fearful expression, or acts aggressively when touching the dog's face, back off immediately. This is when it is most on guard, be careful of being bitten.

Dogs don’t like to be hugged

Dogs generally don’t like hugs, especially hugs from strangers. Putting your arms around your dog's neck or body may be perceived as a threat by your dog. Most dogs can only tolerate gentle hugs from trusted people, but that doesn't mean they actually like them. If you're going to hug, it's best to position yourself along your dog's back and chest. Of course some dogs like to be hugged. But you need to know your dog and pay attention to your dog's body language. If your dog leans, averts his eyes, yawns, licks his lips, looks worried, or displays other compromising gestures when you hug him, he may not like it.

Dogs don’t like to be groomed

Unless your dog is used to wearing clothes, he will hate being groomed. Many dogs don’t like to wear clothes or shoes most of the time. Before putting shoes and clothes on your dog, you must first understand your dog. Some dogs like simple clothing such as shirts, but hate having anything on their heads or feet.

Dogs don’t like strange environments

Puppies will generally be nervous in unfamiliar environments. Most of the time a dog refuses to go to an unfamiliar environment because it is afraid or has a phobia. The best way to introduce your dog to an unfamiliar environment is to bring him close to you to soothe your dog's emotions and keep him calm. Gradually increase the time the dog is exposed to the unfamiliar environment, and patiently encourage the dog.
