Don’t overfeed your dog to live longer. Four basic principles of feeding your dog.

1. Dogs only need to be eighty percent full when eating
Many dog owners have never raised a dog before, and they are always afraid that their puppies will not be full, so they want to feed them a full meal at every meal. A bowl of dog food, actually this is very wrong. It’s OK for your dog to eat as long as 7 or 8 minutes full. Don’t overdo it.
To put it simply: after your dog has finished eating, just let him lick the bowl to his satisfaction. If the dog really doesn’t want to leave the bowl after eating, you can add a little more next time, but just pay attention to the appropriate amount. Especially for puppies before 3 years old, you must pay attention to eating small meals frequently and not eating too much at one time.
2. Puppies at different stages should eat dog food at different stages
Dog owners must not give their puppies dog food at different stages indiscriminately. In order to save money or trouble, some dog owners buy large dog food for their dogs even though they are small dogs; or they buy relatively cheap adult dog food for their dogs even though they are puppies. In this way, not only the puppy is not nutritious, but it is also very easy to digest poorly and develop diseases. (In addition, half dog food + half human food are bad feeding habits.)
Generally speaking, puppies should eat mother's milk when they are just born; after teething and weaning, they can start to be fed liquid food, or puppy food can be heated and soaked in water until soft.
3. Change dog food gradually
When changing the dog's food, do not change it all at once. Mix in half of the new food each time, try it for two or three days, and gradually add new food. The weight will be gradually replaced with new ones within 7-10 days. Only in this way can the dog's digestive system adapt, otherwise it will easily cause diarrhea. In addition, when feeding, be sure to provide sufficient water at the same time. (It is not necessary to use mineral water or distilled water, just use ordinary cold boiled water).
4. Dog food should be the main food, supplemented by snacks
When all dog owners feed their puppies on a daily basis, dog food should be the main food. Nowadays, some professional dog food is very nutritious, both in terms of palatability and nutritional balance. Generally speaking, dogs should mainly eat dog food every day. Occasionally, dog owners can also make some homemade meals for their dogs, but be careful that they should contain less oil, less salt, and less sugar, otherwise these will be detrimental to the dog's health.
Snacks should be given to dogs in small quantities. Snack foods are mainly used as rewards for life training, otherwise the dog will be very picky in the future and not like to eat any dog food. At the same time, it is best to avoid desserts such as chewing gum, ice cream, and cakes: on the one hand, they can easily lead to tooth decay, obesity, and gastrointestinal discomfort. At the same time, after eating too much sweets, it is very easy for dogs to lose their appetite for dinner.5. Dog feeding standards
