What are the precautions for raising Samoyeds? When raising Samoyeds, you must pay attention to a reasonable diet. In addition to feeding dog food, occasionally feed some meat, fruits and snacks, and feed them at regular intervals; prepare sufficient and clean drinking water for Samoyeds at any time. Change the food for it slowly; observe the condition of the Samoyed every day, and seek timely consultation and treatment if any abnormalities are found.

 1. Healthy and reasonable diet

A reasonable diet is the basic condition to ensure the health of Samoyed. In addition to feeding dog food, you can also occasionally feed meat, fruits and some snacks. Of course, the frequency of feeding these foods should not be too high, otherwise it will not only easily develop picky eating problems, but also be detrimental to the dog's health.

2. Control the amount of feeding

For young Samoyeds, it is necessary to eat small meals frequently, about 3-4 times a day. This can not only avoid indigestion caused by eating too much, but also stimulate the dog's interest in eating because of hunger, and prevent the dog from being picky eaters and other problems. Feeding should be done at a regular time and at a fixed point as much as possible so that the dog can develop a good eating habit.

 3. Adequate drinking water

Sufficient drinking water is very important for dogs. Prepare enough clean drinking water for dogs at any time. And change the water regularly, with an average water consumption of at least 60 ml per kilogram of body weight per day, and puppies, lactating female dogs, working dogs or in hot climates consume more water.

4. Change food slowly

If you want to change the food for your dog, you should change it gradually to allow the dog to adapt. Improper food changes can easily cause intestinal discomfort in dogs, and may cause common problems such as vomiting or diarrhea.

5. Observe the dog’s condition every day

The physical condition of a dog is actually very obvious. Generally speaking, healthy dogs are more lively and active. Even quiet dogs can be interested in new things. If a dog always behaves listlessly, or sleeps all day long, and ignores calls, it may mean that the dog is not in good physical condition, and it is best to pay attention to it and observe it more.

6. If you have any questions, try to consult first

After all, dogs are very different from people, so we cannot impose some of our views on dogs. Take the simplest cold as an example. The early symptoms of many diseases in dogs are almost the same as those of a cold. If we just define it as a common cold and then treat it, we are likely to delay the condition and miss the opportunity for treatment. Therefore, if your dog has a problem, it is best to consult first and then deal with it accordingly.
