What is the difference between a greyhound and a thin dog? First of all, looking at the head, a greyhound has folded ears and a longer head, while a thin dog has drop ears and a wider head; in terms of physique, the greyhound is slightly larger. First, the physical fitness is better than that of thin dogs; the running speed is also different. The top speed of thin dogs is about 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, while the greyhound can reach 60 to 70 kilometers per hour.

 1.Head

If it is a long-haired dog, the difference is relatively easy, just pay attention to the ears and tail. Hair on the tail and ears is found in hirsute dogs but not in greyhounds.

If it is a short-haired thin dog, it can also be distinguished by paying attention to the ears and head. Greyhounds have folded ears, while thin dogs have drop ears. They can be easily distinguished by the hardness of the ear roots. In addition, the head of the greyhound is longer, while the head of the thin dog is relatively wider.

 2.Physique

Greyhounds seem to be slightly larger in size, and their physical fitness is better than that of thin dogs. They can work in rugged terrain for a long time. Therefore, if you want to hunt nowadays, hunters prefer to bring greyhounds with them.

 3. Running speed

They are both good at running and very fast. The top speed of the fine dog is about 40 to 50 kilometers per hour, while the greyhound is faster and can reach 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. However, although greyhounds are faster than thin dogs, they are slightly inferior in smell sensitivity and turning speed.

 4.Character

Judging from the personality, the greyhound's personality is extroverted, lively and active, does not recognize strangers, and can quickly get along with humans. And because it is familiar to everyone, it is easily stolen.

The thin dog is a cautious and reserved type, remaining absolutely loyal to its owner, very wary of strangers, and does not allow strangers to approach it easily.
