What are the characteristics of a Pekingese puppy? The head of the Pekingese dog is wide and not round. The muzzle is wide and wrinkled, and the wrinkles are shaped like a wide "V". The drooping part of the ears is heart-shaped, and the ears are positioned flat with the skull. The dark round eyes are protruding, and the distance between the eyes is wide. The Pekingese is short in stature, has long straight and thick coat, forming a "shawl" on the front of the shoulders, a high tail root, curled toward the back, and a slow gait.

The Pekingese dog looks like a lion, alert and smart. Small in size, very well-proportioned, stubby, noble and high-quality. The head is broad, not round, and the brow is well angled.

The muzzle is wide, wrinkled, broad and like a black lion-like nose, with large and open nostrils. There is a wrinkle shaped like a wide "V". The nose and eyes are naturally turned up, with dark spots. When selecting, the nose should be moist, and the eyes, ears, and nose should be clean and free of secretions.

The body is short, the forelimbs are well developed, the upper part is curved, the bones of the hind limbs are thinner, the chest is broad and very expanded, the back is straight, the front is heavy and the back is light, and the waist is obvious.
