How to train a Labrador puppy to lie down? First, prepare dog food or Lala’s favorite snacks. Indoors or in a secluded place, take dog food to Lala with your right hand, but do not let it eat it. Lower your right hand to induce it. Lala lowered her head and leaned over, while gently stroking the dog's back with her left hand and pressing down slightly. Then give the "lying" command. When Lala assumes a lying position, give the "ok" command and let her eat dog food. After training multiple times, gradually reduce the number of dog food rewards until the dog food is no longer rewarded.

Prepare about 0.2 kilograms of dog food or Lala’s favorite snacks, preferably dog food with larger particles (the reasons will be explained in the following link)

Choose an indoor or secluded place of about 10 square meters so that the dog training process is not disturbed. If you are indoors, try to wear a leash to avoid pulling away.

Take the dog food in your right hand (can be held by hand or in a basin) and feed it to Lala. At this time, try not to give the dog food.

When Lala wants to eat dog food and sniffs her right hand, lower her right hand to induce Lala to lower her head and bend over.

At the same time, gently stroke the dog's back with your left hand and press down slightly. At this time, Lala will take a lying position in order to eat the dog's food better.

As soon as Lala takes a lying position, give Lala enough reward so that she can eat dog food.

After repeating the above steps several times, when you are confident that the dog can take a lying position, give the "lie" or "lie down" command before Lala makes the action. When Lala makes the correct lying position, Give the "ok" command and then let Lala eat the dog food.

After training for about thirty times, about two to three days later, you can gradually reduce the number of dog food rewards until no dog food is rewarded.

Wrong actions must be corrected promptly. There are two main problems with the pull-up lying position: First, the front legs do not lie down at the same time, but one leg goes down and then the other leg goes down again. The second is that the buttocks are tilted to one side after lying down. After the above two problems occur, they must be corrected in time to avoid forming habits.
