Dog deworming is divided into internal deworming and external deworming. External deworming is usually preventive deworming with external drops. When no parasites are found, it is generally recommended to deworm the dog when he is over 49 days old. Preventive and deworming should be done regularly every month, once every 15 days in summer, and slightly more frequently in parasite-prone seasons. For internal deworming, you can use internal deworming tablets. When dogs are 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks old, Once every time, once every 3 months after 12 weeks of age, regular deworming can prevent or kill dogs, and it will also reduce a lot of trouble for dogs.
External deworming is to get rid of parasites on the body surface of Corgis. There are two types of external deworming drugs: sprays and drops. The method of using sprays is: spray the drug evenly on the dog’s hair. Make sure the hair is completely soaked, then massage it briefly and let the medicine dry on its own. The method of using the drops is relatively simple. You only need to separate the hair on the line of the Corgi's spine, and then drip the drops into a line along the spine.
The internal anthelmintic drugs will be differentiated according to the different parasites. They are basically tablet type. The dosage needs to be determined according to the weight of your Corgi. When feeding the internal anthelmintic drugs, the owner needs to Open the Corgi's mouth, then quickly put the tablet at the base of their tongue, then press the Corgi's mouth and stroke the neck until they make a swallowing movement before letting go.
Precautions for deworming Corgi puppies:
1. Deworming must be carried out only after ensuring that the Corgi is in good physical condition.
2. Corgi puppies that have just been brought home are not suitable for immediate deworming.
3. It is recommended that deworming and vaccination should not be carried out at the same time, otherwise they may interact with each other and lead to vaccine failure.
4. Under normal circumstances, vaccination should be done first and then deworming.
5. Never give human deworming drugs to Corgis.
6. If there are parasites in the puppies, they should first increase their nutrition and replenish their physical strength, and then deworm them.
